About (me)

Hi! I’m Danielle and welcome to my site! I truly do NOT like talking about myself, but I’m happy to give a little background. I recently moved to the Washington, DC area and have spent most of my “first” career in restaurants.

Starting at 19 years old, my very first restaurant job was a hostess. Seating people, answering the phones, smiling, etc.. Cake job right? Nope! One of the HARDEST jobs I’ve ever had. Waaaaay too much going on and I learned pretty quickly that guests who don’t get their food in a timely fashion are just plain EVIL.

I learned the ins and outs of the business and the restaurant itself. I learned a lot at that position but eventually was fired from that job. Why? Well, I assumed it was because my boss was a racist jerk (which he was), but honestly, deep down I knew I had outgrown that job after 2 years and I was ready for something new. I’m pretty sure that showed in my work too.

However, I stuck with the industry and over the next 13 years, I bounced from restaurant to restaurant and worked my way up from hostess to Assistant General Manager. I was great all positions I held during that time, but the fast-paced working 60 hrs a week many weeks just got to be too taxing on my mind and body.

I also tried my hand at a few other careers. Modeling, realtor, makeup artist, grocery store manager, but most of these were short-lived due to my lack of passion within these industries.

So Now what?

I’m glad you asked! NOW, I have taken all my skills and expertise from years in the restaurant industry and share it with you!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
